About getohdit

getohdit reviews South African law firms' websites for digital risk. It checks the public site against the LPC Code of Conduct publicity rules, POPIA, basic security, search and Google listings, and whether AI assistants can find and cite the firm, then sets out what to fix first.

Who runs it

getohdit is operated by Akkord (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa (enterprise number 2026/467847/07). The company details are on the legal entity page. Contact is by email only: hello@getohdit.co.za.

What an assessment checks

Seven pillars, reviewed from outside on the firm's publicly accessible pages:

  1. Discovery: the technology, subdomains and third-party scripts on the site.
  2. LPC Conduct: the site's wording against the LPC Code of Conduct publicity rules.
  3. POPIA: tracking before consent, and whether the privacy notice is complete.
  4. Security: TLS, security headers and exposed admin paths, observed from outside.
  5. SEO: Core Web Vitals, structured data and on-page search signals.
  6. AI Readiness: whether ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI answers cite the firm.
  7. Path to Action: the route from landing page to enquiry, on desktop and mobile.

The full scope is on the law firm assessment page, and an example is in the sample report.

What it is not

  • Not a law firm, and not legal advice.
  • Not a compliance certificate, formal audit or assurance.
  • Not a penetration test: no logging in and no attack traffic.
  • Never a finding that a rule was broken. Only the Legal Practice Council or the Information Regulator can make that finding.

How to start

  • Request a free website basics scan by emailing hello@getohdit.co.za with the firm's website address.
  • Read the sample report to see what a full assessment delivers.
  • Join the waitlist for the full assessment.
  • Read the articles and field reports on what law-firm websites get wrong.
